So a friend asked for me to do some sketches for a short film/project and I had a lot of fun doing so. I played around with a lot of different styles and such. Some of which I did very quickly and others I spent a little more time on. Overall though, I got some fun ideas for possible future works. I tried to make them all look different from one another. Heres a couple of them

Busy.
The semester is finally winding down. Although I again feel that I am walking away with little gained knowledge or increase in ability/skill other than what I have learned on my own, I know that I am closer to receiving this piece of paper stating that I am done and hopefully able to work somewhere reasonable. I have a couple of sketches or maybe full works to do for a friend that will should be fun along with some fresh ideas for some new ink paintings that I want to do right afterwards. For awhile I have felt like I am only trying to pursue art because it was the only thing I was decent at, but lately more and more excitement to work on and create new things has been arising. I hope the motivation sticks around for awhile. :)

Hi
I mainly made this blog to post updates and such on new Artworks, sketches and the likes and to keep them in chronological order. To view all of my previous works, head over to www.myspace.com/timothyfrailey
I have recently finished two pieces for my art class. The class as a whole was completely dull and consisted of little creativity until these final projects. Due to the overwhelming amount of stress and small amount of free time, I was not able to spend as much time on them as I had hoped to, but were happy with the outcomes over all.
Here are some other recently completed works that I have done in the recent past.
The matting for this piece was something that I had in mind for a long time and had worked on it for small amounts at a time when I had the free time. The Middle, actual picture was completed several weeks ago and given to my girlfriend as a gift, the whole thing is now framed and hung.
Both of these trees were basically stemmed off of a pencil sketch I did inspired by a tree I saw in a snow globe. I really liked the peaceful-ness of the second one, but of course my love to get messy and overly-wet with my watercolors pushed me to create the first one afterward. This is a recreation of a very old watercolor painting I did after a strange dream I had one night. The idea was going to be used in a couple different works and created into a series, which I had decided against to preserve the real meaning of this work. This was my first full ink painting I have done, with the reaching self portrait being my second. I am having a lot of fun with them.
The original, along with other sketches are shown below. Enjoy.
